91 Ezgo marathon gx 444 wiring
I am working on a gas 91 marathon gx 444 and I got it after it has been sitting for a year or more. The wires have been half chewed off and some are missing. I have found a user/repair manual off the internet on 1990 Ezgo and I have tried a bunch of different things to connect wires to the appropriate connections. I am looking for some better advice on a more thorough diagram or if some one out there has knowledge and would like me to post pics of the mess I am dealing with I can try. I have gotten the beep to come on constantly when I connect the battery and the motor does not turn over. When I switch to forward or reverse, the beep dogs a little when I push the gas pedal, but nothing happens. Please help, and sorry if I missed anything.

Since it is a 91, is it a single cylinder 2 stroke? If so, it is a 3pg, and the following will apply.
Your wiring diagram is in the first post of this thread. http://www.buggiesgonewild.com/gas-e...3pg-carts.html The fwd/ reverse switch has 2 microswitches. One is connected in series with the key, and pedal switch to activate your solenoid. The 2nd one is used strictly to activate the reverse buzzer. If there is a continuous buzzing in both directions, that switch is stuck. Let's start with that, and then go from there. |

Thanks for the info, it is the single cylinder and it is not the Polaris engine. I have seen a few of those and this one is not that.
