Default Ran out of Gas and poured white/grey smoke???

I was driving up a steep hill and my EZGO TXT ran out of gas. It blew a huge cloud of white smoke out of the exhaust. I am hoping that was just from any debris that collected in the gas tank. I towed it into the garage and it will still crank but I have not tried to drive it yet. Could I have blown something?

more than likely you had a little water in tank
change fuel filter and purge gas lines

Is there oil in the air cleaner? going up a steep hill with the motor on an angle sometimes
sucks oil up through the crankcase vent tube into the carburetor, especially if it has a lift kit.

I'd add some gas, clean the plugs and I'll bet you'll be good to go.

Could be water but I would bet on too much oil. Fuel pickup is in the front of the tank, if you are climbing a steep hill any water would be at the back bottom of the tank. May need a new set of plugs but oil should blow through. Next time you change the oil, put 1.5 qts in it or 1.4 then check the stick. That is your Full mark.

so I hit the same hill yesterday with some speed and it stopped about half way up and spit out another cloud of white smoke, smelled like something was burnt up. I eased it back down the hill and left it there to cool off. going to tow it back into the shop. could this be oil again?

Yes it can.. You need to drain it and refill with just under 1.5 qts of oil.. No more
