Default Re: Experience adding secondary battery to Gas Cart for electronics?

So I bought an el cheapo voltmeter digital display for the dash to keep an eye on the charge level of the secondary battery.

SMAKN® BLUE 0.36" Voltmeter 4 Digit with Shell 0-33.00v 3 Wires Voltage - - Amazon.com SMAKN® BLUE 0.36" Voltmeter 4 Digit with Shell 0-33.00v 3 Wires Voltage - - Amazon.com

Can/should I just run it from/to the same rocker switch I am connecting the stereo head unit?Red/Black/Yellow wires...

I thought about buying a kill switch for the entire battery but I am not sure I really need it.

If you can turn off everything it should be fine, and my amps are always on they are direct to the battery in cars I have them in. You should fuse everything at the battery one way or another its just for fire hazard. My car is 100A fuse though I pulled it and put in a 60A because I had one and it does not blow. It runs both amps, the rest runs off the car wiring though the fans and remote are through a relay off the big wire. You are closer to battery you can run maybe 8ga wire or something I'd think, I have 5ga to the trunk. They do make a manual switch that mounts right on the battery, or you could get a constant duty relay to run everything off.
