The activation circuit is no longer working.
The large cable coming from the positive battery has a small wire coming from it. It could be at the battery end, or the solenoid end. You never did say which. Anyhow, that is the beginning of the activation circuit. It will go to the key switch first, then through the microswitches, through the small terminals on the solenoid, to a grounding point. You will test each point like you did before to see where it is losing voltage. Meter on the negative battery terminal, and at each point in the activation circuit. |

Well lets try this again.
Think you might have popped the fuse. Quote this post and input voltages after = Voltmeter -cable grounded to - battery terminal. + to battery terminal= Cranking= + to battery cable off the terminal = Cranking= + to fuse left = right = cranking l= cranking r= + to solenoid input Big cable from battery = cranking = + to solenoid output Big cable opposite battery cable =. cranking = + to ignition switch left = crank it reading = + to ignition switch right = crank it reading = + to Micro switch left= Right= while cranking L = R = + to solenoid field+ Little terminal= cranking= + to solenoid field- little terminal= cranking= Voltmeter + to + battery terminal Voltmeter - to - battery cable at battery= cranking= Voltmeter - to - cable frame attachment= cranking= Voltmeter - to generator casing= cranking= Voltmeter - to braided ground both sides = = cranking = = |
