Re: New Smashed motor...advice
If the end cap is wrapped like it looks in the photo you have a problem. The package was not handle correctly and or not packed good enough. Either the shipper or the carrier is at fault. At any rate you do not have to accept it like that.

Re: New Smashed motor...advice
Here's a thought. If your vendor wants you to keep it, maybe he will extend the warranty a bit???

Re: New Smashed motor...advice
Correct me if I'm wrong but, what I see is a bent bolt on bracket. Am I missing something more ?

Re: New Smashed motor...advice
From the thread title I expected more damage than an Abrams tank could do to the motor. I see only a bent bolt on bracket. Contact the seller, express your concerns and ask for their advice.

damaged in shipping file claim with shipping company maybe you can recoup the shipping costs. Check with manufacturer and document the incident. I bet they say just straighten the tab and install it.

Re: New Smashed motor...advice
That motor was not packaged properly. The free end of the armature is unsupported and the bearing could have been damaged by the drop. Not sure I would chance keeping it but you could always try it and see if it isn't making any funny noises.

Does anyone know; can you wire up a admiral mot-a2 motor to a stock controller and solenoid with out damaging it?
I'm going to have to do my install over 2 weekends and the motor seems way easier than upgrading to a xct500... Would like the cart to be usable for a week of possible... Thanks in advance for any advice Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |
