Vent hose from carb leaking on 1991 fe290 engine
i have a 1991 fe 290 engine with a Mikuni Carb and gas will leak out of the vent hose does anybody have a solution and where can i find the carb specs such as float settings and air mixture, and pilot screw settings.

Mine did that for a long time. Ended up getting a new carb and fuel pump and that fixed the problem. Good news is they're relatively cheap.
I'm sure someone on here can give the the technical reason that it's overfilling the carb and draining out. |

1992 was the first year for the FE290. If your cart is a '91 you should have a KF82 flathead motor.

You are correct my mistake got mixed up with another cart it does have the flathead engine i still have the same issue.

The reason for leaking from the vent,or as most call it the overflow, is that the fuel inlet needle is not sealing off,could be worn part's or float sticking
