Default 89 club car advise please

So question for you guys. I am really new at this. I found a power spring and low speed and high speed gear kits. What’s best for getting more speed but not loosing a lot of lower end

The low speed gear set will lower your top speed, increasing torque. The power spring will give you some advantage in torque for climbing hills, starting out under a heavy load, etc.

Before you invest in different gears you should determine what gear ratio you have now.

What kind of low power issues are you having? I live in NE Ohio and we have lots of rolling hills, and my 1987 cart (lifted 6" with 22.5" tires) had some trouble climbing some of the steeper hills in our campground, so I sent my driven clutch (rear clutch) to Cart Parts Plus and had them machine the sheaves and install a power spring. That fixed me up and allowed me to crest those hills. Had it not been for the hills I wouldn't have bothered with the clutch upgrades as it does fine on flat ground and shallow-to-medium-grade hills.

It is stock now, I will giving it a 6" lift as well as some 12" street tires, I want a happy medium of decent acceleration and speed. Its kind of a slug now :-)
