Unhappy G22 went in pond, ran fine for few weeks, now low power esp uphill

Hey guys,

My 9yo kicked my brake off and the cart rolled into a pond. It’s a 2005 g22a. I drained all the fluids and flushed a few times. Changed filters, plug, lubed everything. Replaced belt which was probable due anyway. It ran great for a few weeks, possibly better than before the pond incident. However now it’s not as quick as it was before. Clutches look and feel like they are working well.

You think carb may have an issue? Fuel seems to be getting to engine. Choking it doesn’t make a difference either uphill or flat. Any way I can get more power out? Limiter is maxed out.

I cant figure out why it ran great for three weeks then started to drop off. This is my first cart but I owned numerous Yamaha dirt bikes and four wheelers I did the maint on.

Thanks for any ideas.

How’s the boy? Yikes that’s scary.
Was it muddy water? How long was it submerged?
To start with, it wouldn’t hurt to disassemble the carb and blow out the passages with carb cleaner and compressed air.

How about the fuel filter? Even tho you changed it...it may need a new one.

It was only in for a couple mins. I put a new fuel filter in. Maybe another is due. Here is pic. Water is relatively clean.
