What year and G model please
Needing to get a clutch for it, the clutch decided to explode. Haven't seen any numbers anywhere to dictate a year so all help is appreciated

Look for your serial number under the seat just in front of the air box. Should start with a “J”. Looks like a G2 or G9. Also see the link to Yamaha’s look up. https://www.yamahagolfcar.com/findyourmodel/

Re: What year and G model please
According to the rubber pads running down the rocker panels, the aluminum strip accross the top of the cowl, and the aluminum panel that goes from side to side below the seat, its a G2 golf cart.

Re: What year and G model please
Its a G2,the G9 has black rubber trim around the back edge of the cowl,G2 has aluminum trim, with a black-paint stripe in its center. If it was all original paint, the column and steering wheel would be white on G2,Black on G9.The serial# tag should be on the rear frame, near the bumper,if I remember rightG2 & G9 are nearly identical, the only real difference, other than trim,is the G9 has a different ignition module, with timing advance, and no internal rev-limiter.

I am not an expert on clutches but something doesn't look quite right with yours.
Just razzing you on a Monday morning. |

That big hole in the secondary doesn't too look good, either...

Re: What year and G model please
I’m working on a 1990 G2. The engine is nearly identical to yours except that mine is lacking the exhaust heat shield ...and the custom clutch work.
I’d guess yours is somewhat more recent. Pics of both versions are here: http://www.buggiesgonewild.com/gas-y...at-shield.html |
