Does My Cart Have an MCOR

I'm not 100% sure because i only brought the cart this week. however i did call the previous owner the other day and asked if he had had problems with there being no slow speed in forward, other than when you get over the 1/2 way point when pressing the pedal down and he said he thought it was because the accelerator linkage needed lubricating, which i actually replaced both the rod ball joints.

My sons original comment was "Dad it seems as though something is working backwards".

Ok just a little bit of an update

I found a sticker on the controller with a website www.programainc.com which has a link to it to http://www.golframa.com/getproducts.php?id=1 this is where my controller came from.

So i am going to take the controller off to see if there's a part number for it this morning and post back ASAP

You should not have to remove the controller? the ID tag should be on one end or the other? Read it with a small mirror? Tag all the wires if you do remove it....... what about that simple ohms test for the accelerator output? What did you get on that?

If the controller was replaced it sounds like they simple got the wrong throttle input model? Too bad that one is not programable.......

Yep.... they must be matched.... the MCOR is a 5K-0 uinit.

OK this is what i have with the ohmeter

At the potentiometer with peddle fully up at rest

between the yellow wire and purple wire 0 ohms
As i press the pedal down the ohms increase to a final value (fully pressed down) 4.75k ohms

Ok now the other test

Between the yellow wire and the white wire

peddle fully up at rest reads 5.79 K ohms

Peddle fully pressed down reads 1037 ohms

Seems like you have either set up? I was not aware that was a posssibility?
Have you tried hooking it up both ways? 6K might be a bit high? But curious to see if it works.
You are doing all this testing with the cart up on jack stands in the rear? Right? We don't want the cart to accidently take off!
Also google the controller # and see if you can determine which input it was set up for?

I went to the golframa site and type in the 1204-017 and it comes up with their ref number of G432 which is described as 36V 275A (0-5k) throttle input no High Pedal Disable, but actually on the tag on my controller the 017 is crossed out along with the 24/36 volts where 48v is written in.
