greener than grass, older than dirt
bought a 02 ds about ten days ago. ran like a top on the wally world parking lot. paid the man, loaded her up and brought her home. put issue knobby's on it and went to the country. i gave her a chance to get stuck a couple of times but managed to get back to the trailer. beautiful cart now all muddy but on the trailer. car washed it and went home.
she goes good except up hill, but will eventually make it. that's my question. how to make it go up a steep incline a little quicker? best i know, she's 36 volt with resisters. what would be my best upgrade other than buying another cart? i'm a seasoned citizen and will be using it for hunting, etc. thanks in advance...........fred |

Back up the hill
Welcome to bgw! 4g battery cable will help a little but really without a conversion to solid state speed control and / or a voltage upgrade you got what you got / are you certain the batteries are healthy? |

Re: greener than grass, older than dirt
scotty,
checked out at 38.4 at the chevy garage just setting there with no load. one thing i forgot-when not negotiating a hill, one's tendency is to push the pedal harder. most times it seemed to go a little faster. is there some sort of linkage that needs tightening, or is this my imagination? thanks.........fred |

Re: greener than grass, older than dirt
I don't think CC made resistor carts in 02. If cart has resistors check the model/serial numbers for the cart age.
I have a 03 CC that I use for hunting and it does fine on logging roads and mild mud. It has 22" tires with a 6" lift, all running gear is stock(for now). |

CC made a fleet car 36v resistor until 03 or 04 ... not sure which year, but yeah. They are out there.

Yes, 02 was the last year for the resistor cart and Fred got the last one.

Re: greener than grass, older than dirt
that cart helped me find the last two mushrooms in the woods-that's got to be a good sign. it has a built in sensor that goes off in case of mushrooms or pretty ladies and the little arrow points you in the right direction.
i'll start with new cables, will need them sooner or later. i'll keep watching your posts for secret tricks. if you are nice, i'll give you the part # on the lady and mushroom sensor. i'm not sure, but i may have gotten the last one!!!! |
