Will any ezgo 36 volt charger work if I change the plugs to match?

You are asking a question in the CLUB CAR section about a EZGO charger?? Are you asking if a EZGO charger will work on a Club Car the answer is NO, or are you asking if a EZGO charger will work with ANY EZGO again the answer in most cases is NO.
When asking question always give make, model, year, and voltage of cart in question so you can be helped right away.

Excuse me worng section my mistake. Yes I was refering to a 1980 ezgo with 6 each 6 volt batteries that I got without a charger. Just hoped I could change the reciver to work with my 2001 ezgo 36 volt chatger.

I wanted to be sure what your were working on as Club Car uses 3 different charger plugs depending on year, voltage and many different factory chargers.
On your 1980 Ezgo it uses a different charger plug for 36 volts than the 1995 and up 36 volt charger uses. If you can find a later model charge reciever and adapt it it should work fine. Be sure to check your wiring diagram first before starting to be sure and have correct polarity. GOOD LUCK on being able to save on funds by doing change.
