Here is a good simple wiring diagram for your new Logisystem 480 amp controller and W/R 586 solenoid by Roady89
It looks like you could make the motor to F&R cables while you wait for your stuff to arrive......

Scotty, where can I find that Eagle 1 cleaner. None of the auto parts shops in town carry it. A friend of mine does metal roofing and he claims they use vinegar for etching alum. Ever tried it?

I never tried it but it is acidic, so it may very well work Eagle 1 products are in any autozone store.

Hardware mounted.....time to pull cable. Used an old speed limit sign to make the new controller mount.

That will work. Were you asking about 2 wires that come out of the V-glide? They should be your throttle position signal for the controller. There is also a micro switch in the V-glide which you can use to trigger the solenoid activation.

They install on the solenoid. The big one is the resistor and it installs from one large post to the other large post. The smaller one is a diode and it is polarity sensitive. It installs from one small terminal to the other small terminal and it is important that the banded end of the diode is on the positive side of the 2 small terminals....... does that make sense?

But since you mention it I need help with these too. Where do these all go for the new setup? I see them on the diagram, but there are no colors on it...
