DAT390 vs. Purple, whats the difference?
A friend of mine got a D390 high speed motor for his CC IQ. Before I order the purple motor this week for my CC IQ, I wanted to ask if this will definitely be the way to go. Do you think that the PQ motor is one of the better motors out there when combined with the stock electric controller? I understand that it wont make a difference which speed code option you have if going with a PQ? I need to go at least 23 mph and be able to run at low speeds without heating up. This is why I plan to keep Curtis controller.
CC Precedent, speed code 4, 22' tires- 19.88 mph Last edited by easydoesit; 10-13-2010 at 04:41 PM.. Reason: grammar |

Re: DAT390 vs. Purple, whats the difference?
The upgraded IQ motor " Bandit " will be fine with your stock controller and will work fine at low speeds...........the Bandit IQ offers good speed and torque at a low cost, motor change only.........add a higher amp controller and gain even more torque. Is this the very best IQ motor?......No, we offer a wide range of IQ and Series motors, but.........the cost goes up and in most cases you will need other parts to work together with the higher HP motors.
Hope this helps, Robby |

Re: DAT390 vs. Purple, whats the difference?
What speeds would I be looking at with 22's? Would purple work fine with lift kit? I apologize for all the questions Robby but just wanted to make sure that was the best motor I can get from PQ for speed and torque while keeping stock controller. Talk to you this week to place order.
Thx |

Re: DAT390 vs. Purple, whats the difference?
Nope... stock all the way except the PQ motor. I did add 4 gauge wires a couple months back but that is for a new setup I'll be running in the beginning of next year... you won't need it running a stock controller
