that 10 gage black wire comes out of the OBC and bolts to the rear of charger receptical that how it should go..................................

if this is a 97 single soleniod cart try this if your sure soleniod is good..........run a jumper wire from the soleniod small post where yellow wire is bolted over to the #6 battery neg. terminal and see if cart runs if it does OBC is bad.................97 if you still have a red dash battery light chances are its the original OBC and they are famus for crapping out ......cart won,t run or charge unless you bypass low voltage sensor in charger than you can use charger.............but try the jumper see if it works, one last thing those battery voltage #,s you posted are still no good but should be good enough to see if cart will run.

No the wire that goes thru the computer that links the negative side of the battery pack to the controler as well as the smaller 10 ga wire that connects on the same post on the controler are fine. I am refering to the other 10 ga wire that goes out of the on board colmputer to the charger plug.

* this is in responce to an earlyer post*

Thanks Shadowman! That seems to describe my situation. Im heading out of town tomorrow so ill give this a try tomorrow.

Jumper from negative #6 battery causes the solenoid to click when the accelerator peddle is pressed.

no motion in either direction....

U could spend the $50+ dollers and get the 1997 Maint/Service manual it has the procedure for testing the OBC . CC does not share any of the service repair stuff on line .

Club car is.... proud of their products. :)

pulled the obc.... Reads:
ON BOARD COMPUTER
mfd. LESTER ELECTRICAL
PART NO: 16705
USE ONLY WITH CLUB CAR POWER DRIVE BATTERY
CHARGERS ON 48 VDC (24 CELL) BATTERY SYSTEMS
LE9709709399 Ver. 1.33 PATENT PENDING

Interesting side note. It appears that some one has taken a hammer??? and beat the daylights out of the bottom edge of the OBC not just afew hits, but something you would wack at for the better part of 5 or 10 minutes.

What about my controler???? Can i assume its ok? Is there a way to test is directly? Or with out the OBC the controller has no function.

*update* Appearely i screwed up, called club car back with part number 1018006 price goes to $156.99
