95 club car/ admiral motor 48 vlts
i have a club car with an admiral motor installed. the motor has no speed sensor at all, boss wants me to "get her runnin" new at this ,mostly auto mech. not sure what yr the cart is. they think its a 95. motor has ( a1,a2,s1,s2). control box has (a1,a2,f1,f2,p,n,) i am worried i will melt down something if not carefull. found diagram on club car regen (fx302) looks close but has questionable areas. hope someone can help. have read through forums and it looks like ya'll are the people to ask . thanks !

The model and year are in a tag fastened ti the rail which separates the floor-mat and the dash.
When working on electric carts always disconnect the last - negative battery cable from the post, and not a bad idea to also connect the first +positive from the battery pack also. Send model # and pictures if U got-em !!! PS it's not a regen, count solinoids, resister coils if it has them . |

hey man thanks for replying. all i can seem to find is the ser. # a9735-600832. it has 2 selinoids, only 1 resistor coil. dont have the setup to send pics,sorry.

That's it 1997 Regen. 3 wire pig tail comong off the motor (in addition to 4 seperate motor wires), and F/R switch is a rocker type ? |

another question. are the selinoids normally open or normally closed ?

In your first post you said "the motor had A-1,A-2, S-1,S-2" if this is correct you have a series motor on a 1997 Rergen cart that should have "A-1,A-2, F-1, F-2" on motor? The controls dont work the same so this maybe your problem?
Solenoids on golf carts are normally open. That old a CC does not have a tow switch only 2000.5 and up with IQ controls ( modern comtrols ) |
