as it turned out .. sure enough the crank seal were blown out, after a new oversize piston and new seals, this thing will fly, now my old cart will top out at a blistering 23mph , thanks for the advise

Good news, a well tuned 2PG is more than a match for a 4 stroke. Enjoy the cart.
