Default Where to buy new batteries?

In the past year I bought a 2006 DS 48 volt...

After testing the batteries I'm in the market to buy new ones. My grandfather (works at napa) can get a 12 volt golf cart battery for 150 bucks. I feel confident with these batteries as our other golf cart (87 Ezgo 36 volt) has been using their brand.

Is there anywhere else to buy the batteries without spending over 200 dollars?

Also I understand the batteries are deep cylce and lead acid batteries but is there anything I should specifically be looking for?

With this being newer and pratically brand new in looks I want to keep it in as much proper order under a tense budget as possible. That is basically my reason for asking and maybe to learn something new.

I would look around on the internet since I know Napa for themost part is always way over priced

You want to get as high an AH rating as the bank will allow. There is a difference in 200 vs 225 in price, performance, and longevity.

Thanks for the advice, but I really need to stay on a budget. If the batteries last me 2-4 years good enough!

I looked at the one sticky as to where to get batteries, but they only list 6 and 8 volts. Does walmart, autozone or advanced sell them? I see Marine batteries but I know not to use them. Does Duralast make any?

Based on the info you have provided, I recommend you let your grandfather provide them from NAPA. . . he should be able to get them wholesale . . .
