Default Power Drive 3 Charger not fully charging

When I plug in my charger it charges at a high rate for about an hour then the ammeter starts slowly going down and after about 4 hours it will quit charging even if I leave it plugged in overnight.

The batteries are only about half charged and the battery light will come on when I unplug the charger indicating that they are not fully charged.

I can plug the charger back in and it will start charging again but I usually have to repeat this procedure about 2 times to get it fully charged.

Is this a battery problem (3 years old), a charger problem or an onboard computer problem?

Any information will be appreciated.

It could be an OBC problem, but first I would buy a $20 charger repair kit and see if that fixes it. Just go to ebay and enter your charger model number. It fixed my charger that was acting up like yours...

I've had this problem and seen it on many other carts, and it is usually an OBC issue, and not the charger, the charge is doing what the OBC is telling it too. Check all your connections and the condition of the batteries to see if you have a bad cell, but my money is on the OBC. What year is the cart? Some OBCs can be reset/booted. The early models cannot be.

It's a 2009 cart. It has 3 original batteries and 1 newer one. I tried to reset the obc by the method in the stickies but the reverse buzzer did never sound.
