Tweaked my ankle yesterday surfing..((more like trying to show off for a girl 1/3 my age...Fn goofball..))...so looks like a good morning for working on cart..I wish the junk yard dog would call and say come get your parts !!!

That's actually the accelerator cable, try rerouting it along the frame under the floor and shorting it up like that, it's probably the right length.

it goes up into the air box above the carb joint, I don't know the proper name of it but it says YAMAHA on it.

I had the same problem with the cable ,just tywrapped it so it would not get caught in the shock,works great

I think I have a bad bearing ((noisy going up hill ))and the engine is 30 years old so I am going to rebuild it completely ..So I need an extra 500 bucks ...good thing the surf is coming up all week so I will give many lessons and make money for engine rebuild until then I will be repainting trim , some bodywork, ...

That is not a good sign! Fresh rebuild will make that cart "dance" a little bit!!

I just got a 1979 G1 and I have a 1981 also. I sold a 1984 and a 1985 to two friends. Another friend has a 1983, so we have avoided the dreaded 1982 so far. It is pretty cool when all four of us get together at the campground, running around in smokey two stroke golf carts. I love it!
