8 Volt charging question
Has anyone used a 6V/12V automotive charger to bring 8 volts up to where the cart charger can take over. Did you use the 6V or 12V setting? If it can be done what precautions/process do you recommend?

If your batteries are too low that charger won't turn on then yes I have used auto charger to "trick" charger into coming on. Put the leads between 2 sets of batteries so you don't have 12v going into one battery and put it on the highest setting with club car charger plugged in. If your batteries are real low that wont work and I don't recommend it. Take the charger apart and bypass the relay to make it come on. That trick should be in the stickies or just search for bypassing relay.
