I made a mounting bracket to fit behind dash .. id show pics but dash is all put together and it is mounted sideways to save space .. and yes it looks a mess back there but every wire is labled .. used blue painters tape

12v solar charger (eBay $22)
the solar charger came from a VW dealer and puts out 8-9v in direct sun (FL sun) i have not had to hook battery to electric charger sense i got solar a deep cycle battery would be best but had a free 12v laying around .. i do not run solar when cart is on .. i put solar panel on roof when charging i hooked up the solar charger through a power outlet in dash and use a Scottyb knock off meter/switch to monitor voltage i have driven around 2 hours at night with lights and radio going with no problem |

yes on some models you can direct wire it to the battery or fuse block
