Default Need for voltae reducer???

I know i have seen discussion about voltage reducers recently but find it now. My question is why use a voltage reducer rather than just coming off two 6 volt batteries for 12 volts?

Thanks

If you use the 12v accessories only occasionally drawing off of two 6 V batteries is okay. But if you use your 12 V power more than occasionally you run the risk of drawing those two batteries down further than the other four in the battery pack.
This imbalance in voltage between batteries is a problem during recharging. The 4 batteries with the higher a voltage reading will come up to charge faster then the other two. Since the charger is only looking for a cut off total voltage it will continue to charge the four beyond safe levels to compensate for the two low batteries. If you keep repeating this scenario it will shorten the useful life of your battery pack.
And that is why a voltage reducer which draws off of the entire pack evenly is suggested.

Yes it's okay Carts Unlimited is a BGW sponsor. We have the 12v reducer for 36-80 volt systems.
Currently the lowest price anywhere on the internet.
Go Here > http://cartsunlimited.net/
And then select voltage reducer from the main menu.
