I paid 248 to have mine rebuilt by EMP. That included the dual purpose and some extra bearings and a cap they found I needed. Shipping was about $38 dollars each way. If I recall, the stated price for that rebuild was $225.

I know for a fact it works in a 36V set up because that is what I had.

If interested let me know if you are also interested in the switch or just the motor. The switch was on it when it first bought it but I removed it because I like speed!

Shoot me an offer in PM, I have not gotten a price in my head yet because I have been busy trying to get my buggy back on the road. I do know that I think I paid $30ish to have my motor shipped from PQ. Just to give you an idea

I'm gonna pass on it right now. I contacted emp about the 48v. They told me to watch my rpm's but it should work. They did some other things to them if it was going to be used on a 48v set up. At least that's the way I understood the email. If a 36v guy wants it go ahead..

Glad you did your home work so there were no problems. I am gonna list it on Craigslist and see what happens.

After re-reading this thread I realized I may have inadvertently implied a fair price for Tony's motor. That was not my intent. My intent was to let any interested party know what the minimum investment in this motor would be. The prices I listed were for a motor I already owned. For one to buy the completed motor outright, the price would obviously be more.
Tony, I would suggest you consider something like $350 as a PRICE for your motor. Buying a new motor with that much work in it would set you back $600 or more. The switch sells new for about $120. I would suggest $75 as a price for just the switch.
I hope this helps.
