Center Cap question.
I scored a set of 10" Alum. Wheels off of my local Craigslist. They came with "push thru" style center caps. The caps won't clear the front hub. Are ceneter caps standard? Do I need to buy "snap in" style?
Thanks in advance for your help. http://www.buggiesgonewild.com/garag...tml#post979857 |

Re: Center Cap question.
Is it a diameter issue or a depth issue?

Re: Center Cap question.
Looking back at what I wrote....I'm. Big dummy! It's a depth issue. I had to take the dust cap off the hub.

Re: Center Cap question.
One of the vendors here has deeper center caps, but I cannot recall who it is. DOH!

Do the center caps work with the dust caps off?

Re: Center Cap question.
Yeah, it's fine with the dust caps off. I'm gonna go to pep boys, napa, etc & see of the have a shallow dust cap. It could almost be flat.

Re: Center Cap question.
I wouldn't even sweat it if they fit with the dust caps off. Nothing is gonna leak out.

Re: Center Cap question.
I put a little RTV on the flange of the center cap to provide a little but of a seal.
