Looks like a score, for free! Did you turn the engine over and feel for compression? Get it home and take some pictures of that damaged/missing parts front end. I have some used parts to get it a roller again. Wish I could get one for free, I'd bigblock it and make even Rifter drool

You may find those parts cheaper on here if you check the parts section

Yeah. I had posted asking you folks that if you had any parts, I would be interested, but had posted it on the "quick clutch question" topic and hadn't had a chance to post here this evening.

That said, if any of you folks read this topic and have parts, I'm interested in buying them. Trying to figure out how I will actually get it onto a trailer. The guy has a front end loader, but I cant just back under it as I need ramps.

@smallblock: the guy now thinks it may just be the hub/bearing that was bad. He looked at the spindle and said it didn't look to be bad. If you have a hub/bearings, what you want for them? I would try that route to get it rolling so I can push it onto my trailer.

Edit: I did turn the engine by hand. Didn't get to spin fully, but felt good compression.

My favorite motto: "If it's free, it's for me!" Even if you have to replace the starter, carb and a new set of tires, you're still way ahead of the curve in money spent. Hopefully there nothing else mechanically wrong with it.The G22 is a great platform to play with. Good luck!

Guy in fact does want to get rid of it for free, so I told him I want it. :)

Looks like the drive belt is worn. Not an expensive fix...

Not sure if the ones on it were for it or not. The guys got this from from another person that had 4 or 5 of them total. That guy robbed parts from each one, thus the missing parts on this one.

With the number 8 on the front and the "No Smoking" sign on it, I'm thinking it may have came from a plant or refinery.

Trying to devise a plan to go get it this weekend. Not that I don't trust the guy, but I don't trust anyone else. Thinking I can use the tractor to pick the front end up, back trailer under front end, lower cart onto a floor jack so I can roll the front, then push it onto the trailer with the tractor.
