Yes. To run it stationary youll need the belt off or the rear end freed up and off the ground.

Remember forward and reverse are handled by the engine spinning each direction, not by gears in the rear. Once you get it running, always let it stop before switching directions.

There is a possibility that the drive clutch pucks will drop out if you run the engine with the belt not on.It would be better to get the rear end free then put it up on blocks.

Oh my, My T 1 ton dump truck is getting a bit dirty and dusty in the shed but it would get terrible rusted again out in a garden!

I will let you all know the results of testing this golf cart when I get the thing in the shop. Finally got some stuff assembled and done,so may have room next week to piddle on it. Free up the rear end-brakes and give it some mixed gas squirted in the carb and a jump starter. I want to hear it huff and puff before I decide what else to do. Wish somebody wanted to trade a rusty 4 wheel sparky for it so I could be building another utility cart.

Don't be so quick to condemn it, if you get her going you'll LOVE that 3 wheel turning radius.

Oh yes, i know about that! My 4 wheel "utv" is hard to turn. My other 3 carts are 3 wheelers that get used the most around here.

Aint got around to this yet. Working on stuff to make a dollar or 2 on.
Mainly John Deere Gators. Over rated clunky contraptions that cost like the dickens to get parts for.

If someone brings me a 4 wheel ez-go resistor cart that is complete as far as electrical , controls and running gear, i would trade this 2 stroker for it even accross the board. body and frame can be rotten as h---,I don't care, I would only be using the nose and very front end of the cart with the steering on it for my project. This 2 stroker is not stuck, has all it's clutches and what not. 1 shock missing off the front.I May keep the factory seat belt unless that is a deal breaker..
I want a 70's or 80's cart. 1 similar to my cart I built this from. I want to build another 1 with some changes.
