G1 front hubs
Can anyone tell me where to get a set of king pins for my 81 G1? The drivers side front tire is leaning inward at the top, after jacking it up the wheel went to normal. Then after a hour of pounding the king pin is wore bad at the top and bottom thus making the wheel set inward at the top. Also what does it take to get the hubs off? We have pounded for over a hour on one of them and it still wont budge. On my 82 G1 the hubs came right off after the wheel nut was taken off. I also noticed on my 81 G1 it has no grease zerks on the front spindle so the king pins can turn easy. Any help will be greatly appreciated.

Re: G1 front hubs
Thanks Ron I called Tom today and ordered them, do you have any idea on how to get the front hubs off? On my 82 G1 they slid right off but this 81 G1 I beat for a hour and got one off and the other one wont budge.

Re: G1 front hubs
Hi Ron and thanks but I have the manual for the G1 so I am guessing the bearings are rusted to the axel. Not sure yet it has been soaking in penetrating oil for almost 2 days now so I'll take another look at it today.

Re: G1 front hubs
Hi Ron well I got the hubs off the inner bearing was rusted to the axel. I had to break them out then grind off the center. So I ordered now one and cleaned up both axels real good now their nice and shiney and oiled up real good. When the parts get here I will place some grease on everything. Appreciate your help Ron, at least when I get this little work done I will at least have one G1 to play with this summer. My other G1 is the one I am customizing and hopefully have it finished before winter this year. I had a friend help me and I built a nice wood stove for the garage and hooked it up today and tested it out and wow did it heat the garage up nice and quick. Now I wont have cabin fever next winter.
