97 ezgo spitting gas out of the carb

Hello, wondering what next, 97 ezgo 295 robin engine. carb spittin gas while engine turns over sometimes it will run. cleaned carb made sure float wasn't stuck. was told intake valve could be stuck open????? what is the correct valve setting for this engine? my kids want to ride i'm running out of ideas please help thanks.

Hello,

If the timing isn't changed, it will be the valves.

On my raceengine i use 0.15 outlet and 0.10 inlet.
For the inch figures use the search (0.04??)

some people say if the engine has oodles of hours on it to set them at .006, does that make a diff?
