2008 Club Car Precedent
We are currently on the road and our golf cart “powers down” after a short distance when the accelerator pedal is pressed. Once I release the pedal and press down again the cart powers up and moves forward but repeats the process.
When I gently press the pedal the cart will remain steady in forward motion, but may repeat the process. I replaced the MCOR with an OEM unit thinking that it was the culprit. It worked perfectly for a short period and then went downhill again. The batteries are good and the cart has four 12 volts. What may be the issue? Thanks. |

Re: 2008 Club Car Precedent
It sounds like the solenoid isn't closing and it's getting power through the precharge resistor. Check your solenoid and make sure you're getting 48v on the small terminals when you step on the throttle. And zero volts between the two large terminals.

Re: 2008 Club Car Precedent
Seems Ok. I like to see 49 driving/ under load but as long as it’s over 35v then low voltage shouldn’t be an issue.
Nvm that... you replaced MCOR, so probably not that. Might be a loose connection somewhere, but I don’t think the solenoid would just randomly open unless the controller is losing another input for some reason. You can test that(sort of) by bypassing the solenoid, and that will keep the cart in limp mode but should allow it to continue to run. |
