20x10x8 tires fit under a Carryall I
It's got 18x8.5x8 all around right now. I want to replace the rear tires with the larger profile 20x10x8 tires but am unsure if the will fit without rubbing. I measured the 18" tires and they seemed to be about 16.5" tall (from the ground to the top of the tire). Can I expect the 20's to be 17.5" tall?
Any help is appreciated. Thanks. Last edited by kimmer71; 09-10-2009 at 11:26 AM.. Reason: typo |

I think you will experience some rubbing in the front. I wouldn't reccommend the addition without a small lift kit.

Thanks Mike. I was only planning on the larger tire on the back for now. Think there will be any problems there?

Expect the new rubber to be 1 inch bigger ALL THE WAY AROUND so you see if you can spare another inch? they may rub on the leaf springs being wider unless you use a spacer or offset wheel ....

Scotty's got it You may be OK in the back. Also make sure that you aren't rubbing your brake lines with the larger tire...

Alway measure the radius, not the diameter. You'll be more accurate with tires.
