03 txt speed upgrade question; need advice
I see the electrical jumper that's available to increase the speed of my 36V 6-6V txt. Where does that plug in and will it reduce drive time signifcantly or just a little bit?

Are you asking about the different "chips" for a PDS system?

Re: 03 txt speed upgrade question; need advice
Yes, I'm talking about the speed "chips". However, when I look up the speed chips to purchase them it shows a wire with two plastic ends that plug in somewhere on the cart. I just dont want to make a mistake that will cost me in the end.
Thanks for the help. |

You have to have a PDS cart, if not you don't have a place to put a "chip".

Re: 03 txt speed upgrade question; need advice
Sorry to say I don't know if I have a PDS cart. If I post a picture of the inside or the electronics would that help? As you can see I'm definately new at this and don't want to make any costly mistakes. Let me know how to know what I have an I'll post it immediately.
Thanks for the help. |

PDS carts are 2001 and newer with FNR on dash by key and a Tow/Run switch on the controller cover in the battery compartment.

Re: 03 txt speed upgrade question; need advice
I do not have the forward and reverse on the dash by the key and I don't have a tow/run switch. Does this mean I can't make the cart faster???

Re: 03 txt speed upgrade question; need advice
No, it just means that you can't use a "chip" on your controller.
It does mean that you will have to increase speed by upgrading motor, controller, and/or adding voltage. Make certain if adding voltage to match voltage to controller and motor. Speed ain't cheap. Sorry. |
