Slack in governor assembly
I have an 02 TXT w/ the Robin 295, and it has some odd behavior.
It will get to speed no problem, 18 mph, and stay there on a flat surface. If you let off the throttle, even just a little, and press it back down, or go down a small hill and back onto a flat surface, it slows down to 10 mph before accelerating back to 18mph. I figured it had to be something with the governor, and upon inspection I noticed I have oil coming from seal for the governor, and a lot of slack in the governor assembly itself. Here is a video of it: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BGe-usiP-Ng Is that normal? I have 2 other TXT's up at the lake, and they stay the same speed all the time, very consistent. Lastly, does anybody know the part number for the seal that is leaking on the top of the differential? Thanks! Louis PS Even if you don't know the answer, can someone go check the slack on their TXT and let me know the results? My 2 other TXT's are at the lake right now |

My old style gov carts are at the lake as well but as long as the shaft is moving with the lever that should be ok. I would check to make sure your cables are moving freely.

Re: Slack in governor assembly
Have you taken a look at the tech manual? Check the specs on it. I am curious if the problem may be more related to your CVT system. It sounds as if one of the clutches is weak and allowing the belt to return to more of a resting position which would potentially explain the loss of ground speed. Again a check of the tech guide will help you in chasing this down.
