Re: 48V solenoid on a 36V
It may or may not. The primary side (small wires) may not have enough draw to pull the contactor in. The Secondary side (large cables) doesn't care what the voltage is (within reason).

Re: 48V solenoid on a 36V
Are they doing this because they don't want to put out the bucks to do it right? I've never heard of this before, nor would I try it (personal preference) - Just drop in a W/R 586 and be done with it

Re: 48V solenoid on a 36V
You have to make sure it is a high amp 48 volt solenoid, if not, it could get stuck in the closed position .

Re: 48V solenoid on a 36V
What makes you think you need a 48v solenoid on your 36v DCS cart in the first place?
Why? What are you trying to accomplish? |

Re: 48V solenoid on a 36V
Thinking I might upgrade to 48v in future. I am now trying to find the best price for the DCX400 for DCS. Thought I'd re-do the Solenoid while I was there changin the Controller.
