I could use some guidance please
Hello,
I have a 1999 EZGO DCS electric cart. The cart has a lift kit and 22" tires on it also. The cart is stuttering like cutting in and out and it only seems to do this at full throttle or close to it. The batteries are roughly 2 years old and measure 38.34 volts and I have all 4 AWG cables hooking the batteries together. I have double and triple checked all connections. The batteries last for a decent amount of time when charged. I have checked the motor terminals for continuity. I have continuity between the "A" terminals and the "S" terminals and nothing between the "A" and the "S" which I believe is good. I think I may need a controller but am not positive but dont want to just throw parts at it until it works either. I have opened up the speed control box and it looks super clean in there with no visual problems. I am an electrician by trade and have had a decent amount of electronic schooling so checking the electrical system out I should be able to handle with some guidance on what to look for. My daughter and I appreciate any suggestions in helping me get this cart going again. |
