Install a new PQ Executioner motor here is my plan
So my new PQ Executioner motor is on the way, here is my plan for the install, have I missed anything
Steps to installing a new PQ Executioner Motor to a 2007 Ezgo TXT PDS Removal of existing original motor 1) Raise cart and place jack stands under rear axle 2) Flick run/tow switch to tow 3) Disconnect battery cable to ensure there is no power to the motor 4) Mark each cable to the motor also take pictures which may help with identification later if you get confused 5) Secure motor (with strap) ensure that you use 2 spanners when loosening nuts to cables 6) Take off cables to existing motor 7) Take off bolts that hold motor in place Slide motor back (may need help from a buddy to hold motor) In my case while the motor is off I need to fix a small oil leak. The oil is seeping out where the motor bolts to the Axle Housing I have researched that it could either be the; Plug Cap or O'Ring on the Input Gear or O'Ring on the Intermediate Gear While motor is off I will replace these. Install of new PQ Executioner motor 1) Put some grease on Input Gear, tip from the PQ guys - just put a slight amount of grease with your fingers on the splines not on the end of the shaft..........grease put on the end of the shaft could get trapped in the motor coupler, and not let the motor bump the rear case by hand before you tighten the bolts 2) Secure motor with strap (may need help from a buddy to hold the motor) 3) Bolt on motor 4) Ensure all terminals and connectors are clean 5) Attach cables double checking cables are in correct location 6) Secure pig tail wires which are not needed 7) Reconnect battery cables Flick run/tow switch back to run 9) Remove jack stands and lower cart 10) Test drive |

Plan sounds solid. What speed increase do you think you will attain with the executioner motor?

Sounds good, you only forgot one thing. You are gonna need something to wipe the Sh!t Eating grin off of your face when you take it for the first test ride!!!

This could start a whole other thread Excuses to go for a ride.... 1. I think the mailman dropped something , I'll catch up with him. 2. Looks like the neighbor needs my help again(1/4 mile away) 3. The gas is getting old in the cart. I need to burn it up... 4. I'm going to exercise the new (or old) batteries... yes the list could be creative. |

Aussie, the only thing I would add to your list is to check the operation of the motor in Forward and Reverse by applying LIGHT PRESSURE to the go pedal BEFORE lowering the cart. Just to save you the embarassment of having to jack it all back up, eh? Remember, LIGHT PRESSURE, just prove that the wheels go 'round. Spinning up the motor with no load is DESTRUCTIVE.
