Default Rxv part request

Anyone have a part number for this. Have seen a lot of these lately.

Never seen one on a new cart just the off lease as well. A mystery part.

What's the point? To keep pressure on the pedal in hope that the operator will feel the resistance and not mash it down and drive into a lake?

My guess is this is the brake pedal and it is to keep people from pressing it so hard that they lock and burn out the parking brake (panic stop) as it is very easy to over press the brake pedal and lock the rear wheels with the parking /emergency brake on an RXV.

I think that's a really good guess. But is that spring on the brake or the gas pedal?
The local shop gets calls from owners saying the cart won't go. The first thing they tell the owners is to make sure the pedals have returned to the full up position. Fixes it most of the time. Maybe has something to do with that.

I was thinking it had to do with petal return to the top after reading yall said that petals up is a test the rxv does to run. And maybe worn brake or gas petals don't fully return to top without spring help?

I would be interested as well. My cable snapped the other day. Pedal feels very loose now. I liked it much better with this spring working, its a very touchy throttle in mid range without it.

It's the gas petal, you can see the position sensor of the brake petal to the left in the picture.

My 2009 RXV Standard doesn't have that spring either.
