Slow on an incline
Hello. I have a '92 Marathon with newer batteries (October 2015). I had them load tested and they were solid. The cart is fine on flat surface (a little slow, but not terrible) and can get moving downhill. It is very slow on even a small incline. It will make it up a hill, but very slowly. Is there an easy cheap fix to this problem?
Thanks. Scott |

Re: Slow on an incline
I'm sure the more knowledgeable guys will jump in but what they will want to know is the pack voltage(s)
12 hours After charged voltage Voltage when going up hill and what speed you are going. I just started working on my first cart and I bought one of those digital battery meters but hopefully you have something you can test with. As for the speed, I got a app for my cell phone called Dighud which gives you the current speed, fastest and average speed along with the distance you have gone. But I have read and was told here that all the electric carts slow down on hills. It is hard to really tell how fast you are going when only talking 15 mph or so and I was surprised to see what my actual speed was. If felt like I went from 15 to about 3mph but the app which uses GPS isn't 100% exact but it is close and the slowest I went was 7 up a very large hill. If I were to have guessed what the speed was I would have said about 2 mph!!! |
