Marathon to TXT body swap

Im in the process of installing a 99 txt body on my 94 marathon...my question is i need to buy a rear flip seat for it...do I purchase for a TXT or a marathon?Anyone ever done this?Thx

Are you sure you have a marathon, or is it a medalist? You can easily switch a medalist body with a TXT body. A marathon will require some major work. I've never heard of anyone doing it, but I'm sure someone on here probably has before.

My profile pic is a 94 medalist that I put a TXT body on. EZGO made both the marathon and medalist in 94.

Medalist to TXt is nothing at all .. marathon is harder, it's way different.. I have seen several marathon to txt swaps, some are pretty convincing, some hack jobs. Since all the frame mounting points are still marathon, get a marathon kit and deal with the consequences of having a "hybrid".

1994.5 was the change from Marathon to Medalist. The early 1994 carts were Marathons until the supply was used up. Ezgo has always made changes this way so they don't get stuck with old parts.
I recall more than one person putting the TXT body on a Marathon here, I believe they had to make some mounts. You might find it in the search?
