Default More AH..?

Say there were 6 free batteries available...Could someone take three 12V 150AH batteries, wire them up in series to make 36V, then have another set of the same stuff, wire both sets in parallel to have 36v, 300AH?

The only con is it takes longer to charge 300 AH set than a 150 AH set. But if that's the worse thing.........

Lot of extra weight to push around and will negate a portion of the extra range acquired from the increased capacity. Will affect top speed and torque. Always a trade off.
