84 ezgo idler arm removal

Does anyone know how to remove the idler shaft so I can replace the arm bushings. I pulled the cotter pin at the bottom of the shaft but i cant figure out how it comes out.

OK with the cotter pin out tap the shaft up just a hair to brake it louse then lock vice gripes on the very end below the cotter key hole and twist it back and forth as you pull it down. You must lift the front end of the cart to allow for clearance for the shaft it is about 18" long.
