2000 club cad DS model Real fast on flat ground but will not climb a hill for nothing

My question is why is it running fast on level ground. I just bought what seems to be the same cart and it has lots of bottom end but gets as fast as it going to at less than half throttle?

I Googled it and it came up 220amp. The unit was listed as obsolete and no longer stocked. No surprise on that, right! I'd try some of our sponsors for an aftermarket one. Also try out this link for a test for your present one:
