I ran home at lunch to take another look. As suspected the pads aren't lined up at WOT, causing the pad to melt due to heat. Can you pass along info or thoughts on how to adjust where it is properly lined up? Is it common that they will move out of align overtime? I can't remember exactly but I was told to line them up adjust the rod on gas pedal until they line up properly. I have a feeling this might have been bad info?? I am very interested in the conversion. I did find one for 140.00 which when I install properly should get me through for a bit until I can spend the money to convert.

Also, there is an adjustment screw in the arm inside the V-glide to set heel and toe on the wiper pad.

The screw adjusts the wiper arm, so it sits flat right?

Right. You want as much surface to surface contact as you can get.

No dog in this fight. You have the best of experts helping you. But if he (your man) is saying your problem could be because you have INTERSTATE BATTERIES. Your man is wrong. You asked. You got your answer.

I mean I don't believe the guy, he wants me to buy new batteries. Interstate makes a solid marine and car battery, why would they fail at a cart battery.

So just to follow up on this thread. I've replaced new V glide and I've adjusted it dead center on WOT. Is this something I should check regularly, do they come out on alignment on their own?

Same issue and I fixed it!!

I wired the last two wiper contacts to solenoids so the solenoids bear the weight of the current transfer! I have read so many threads about this and after two years of changing parts and contacts, I've remedied my issues.
