Re: 2014 CC Precedent motor
If I buy an admiral a2, will the solenoid have to change? I don't know that Club Car has a heavy solenoid do they?

Re: 2014 CC Precedent motor
The stock solenoid is not heavy duty but rated about the same as the stock controller. Since that is the limiting factor, you could probably get away with leaving it. However, for $75 I would change it out now. I would also spend the money on 4 or 2AWG cables too. This will eliminate every bottleneck from the controller back.

Replacing a motor- Put the cart in tow. Do I need to unhook the main positive and main negative from the battery pack in order to take off the cables connecting to the motor?

Re: 2014 CC Precedent motor
So you don't allow the stud to turn and possibly break the cable inside the motor.

Re: 2014 CC Precedent motor
Exactly! There is a jamb nut below the spade terminal and another nut on top. If you attack the nut on the top without holding the jamb nut, there is a strong possibility that you will wreck the wiring inside.
