Default 2000 Club Car Slow Uphill

I need some advice on the next steps to increase the uphill speed on my club car. About 8 months ago, the entire cart was redone from a 36 volt to 48 volt. Pretty much everything was replaced. Batteries, wiring, motor etc. The only thing that I know that wasn't changed was the resistor coils. The cart will run about 32mph downhill and only 8mph uphill. Basically the same speed for the 36 and 48 volt. I did not see any improvement in uphill speed when the cart was rebuilt. The cart has not been lifted. The only thing I can see causing the problem would be the resistor coils since everything else was replaced??? What can be done to improve the uphill speed? Can they resistor coils be replaced with something more modern?

Any advice would be appreciated and I am including the diagram of what I have. Except for uphill, the cart runs great. Thanks for any help that can be provided.

from what I have read your lucky the cart is working with coils and 48v. what type of motor are you running? what gauge wires did you put on? what type of hill you going up? look at carts unlimited solid state conversion kit. that wouldn't hurt. souds like a good cart.

Someone else did the upgrade from 36v to 48v and he used the standard gauge that others in my neighborhood have. I am not sure of the size of the gauge. The motor was updated to a Plum Quick motor and the hills I am driving on can be steep, but other carts do not have the same problem I have. I did look at those conversion kits. Are they simple to install and can I get by with just the C42 basic kit since most everything else has been changed? I have worked on cars in the past so I am not new to mechanics, but not sure about working on carts. Thank you for your assistance with this, I do appreciate it.

have you tried taking a meter and getting reading from each coil as you press thepeddle down? I see there out of stock of the kits till friday. email him up and tell him what you have. Are you running a rear seat? Wire size does make a differance. If on your first post your uploading pics of your wiring diagrams, and have allready done the work you have. then i would think you'll do fine on the install. my 2 cents and welcome to the addiction btw
