Default Curtis Albright SW80 Activation Wires Polarity

I am not sure whether the top or bottom terminal is positive, or if polarity even matters on this solenoid. They are marked A1 and A2, as opposed to + and -. I have attached a picture of a similar solenoid. Any help is appreciated, thanks.

If there is no polarity markings (+/-) as you noted, it should not matter as you are just energizing it. The A1/A2 may have been specific to its OEM. And usually if they are labeled +/- it is due to they are polarity specific because they have a diode built in and you need to orientate correctly with the positive activation wire.

Ok thanks. So as long as I have the banded end of the diode toward the positive wire, I should be good.
