Please help me figure out this wiring
Just bought this 2006 club car precedent. Has toggle switches labeled charge -> run <-. These are separate from run/tow switch. Seems like something to do with obc. But on side note charger seems to be overcharging batteries are getting super hot. I took a few pics of wiring.

Re: Please help me figure out this wiring
The switches are aftermarket, for whatever reason.
It would be helpful to trace wires from those switches and let us know where they go. It seems to be some sort of obc bypass. Are you using a stock charger? |

The way the switches are now are labeled charge, switched the other way to run. Added some pics. One is off and one on if you see the label. Charger is a schauer 15amp aftermarket. IMG_1767.JPGIMG_1770.JPGIMG_1771.JPG Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

Re: Please help me figure out this wiring
That wiring does not make much sense.
The negative wire coming for the charger socket goes to 2 different SPST switches, one completes the negative to the OBC and the other to the external charger. Assuming the OBC is working, turning the Club Car charger switch OFF would not prevent the OBC from activating the charger relay (when plugged) since it does not use the negative wire for that. Just remove all that non-sense wiring and do the proper OBC bypass per sticky. |

There is a negative wire coming from the switch closest to the run/tow switch. Only thing I'm worried about rewiring is if something weird is setup in the controller Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

Re: Please help me figure out this wiring
I imagine the negative wire from the toggle switch with the "0112" marking goes straight to pack negative.
Remove that Red twist cap on the charger receptacle negative wire, there is likely corrosion under there. Use a butt splice and run that negative wire from the charger receptacle directly to pack negative battery post or Controller B-. Disconnect the OBC 6-pin plug and connect the White with the Blue wire on the cart harness side plug, that will by-pass the Controller lockout feature. |

Re: Please help me figure out this wiring
Charger fixed the hot issue, got a dpi bypass charger. Just installed new batteries and I'm having a sluggish issue uphill, but reverse it will go up just fine
