Default Alltrax 48500/Solenoid & FNR install Help

Did some reading, but haven't found answer to my problem [emoji852]

Cart is a 2001 CC DS Series 48v, I've had it for a couple years using it for a hunting buggy.
Around the 1st of the year, I bought a Admiral Motor, Alltrax SR 48500, 400a solenoid and FNR from TahoeDawg..(tried PM'ing him but haven't heard from him.)

FINALLY around to installing it yesterday, had a lot going on with job and all that, anyway..

Got it all wired up and mounted and go for the test and all I get is a click at the solenoid, don't recall seeing any led's blinking on the controller[emoji30]

Gone through the wiring and I'm at a loss, im sure it's a simple solution and I'm certainly over looking it..
Here's a few pics for reference. In case anyone sees anything strange, some time back, I tried to save $ and bought a cheap voltage reducer and burnt the red wire from the ignition switch to my solenoid, so since I wasn't using the battery warning light, I stole the brown wire for that and ran it in it's place..
The prior stock solenoid had 2 spade plugs 1 red & 1 yellow went to the + and - side of solenoid.. not sure what they're for and don't see them on my wiring schematic. So, I installed ring terms on them and hooked them up as they came off the prior solenoid. I've also, removed the obc and jumped the yellow wire from solenoid - to B- on controller (switched to DPI charger last year)
FNR was hooked up as it came off the old one.. Cart was running fine before this install.. other than that, I'm at a loss. Any help would be GREATLY APPRECIATED!

Let me know if you guys need more/better pics

wards75,

Hopefully Sergio, CTD, or ScottyB can look at your photos and help identify anything that doesn't look quite right.

I know that TahoeDog is on vacation cruising someplace, and I hope it is someplace far away from IRMA.

Sorry I can't be of more assistance on the wiring itself.

Thanks Aflyer, I was assuming TahoeDawg was vacating or something...he's usually pretty fast at replying.
No doubt any of the three can figure it out!

Again...I'm certain it's a simple fix, my brain is just smoked! Hahaha

You are missing one of the throttle wires (Yellow).

Whichever one of those Yellow wires comes from the Multi-Step Potentiometer (VGlide) needs to go to Controller J5, the terminal next to the Green throttle wire.

If the yellow wire on Controller B- is the one you ran directly to the Solenoid negative side, then the yellow wire currently on the Controller J1-Black-Sol- is the one on the wrong position.

Agreed, I think the missing throttle wire is purple with a white stripe?
Anyway it takes 2 wires to make the throttle signal in this cart
There are 2 yellow wires so I assumed the J1 black wire went to Solenoid coil negative

Alrighty, let me take a look and see. Makes sense. Definitely the yellow wire on solenoid neg goes to main B- on controller so, hopefully just moving the other yellow guy to J5 and I'll be in business [emoji6]

Yep... it works, well.. I have movement forward and reverse. I'll have to really check it out tomorrow in the morning.

See, I feel like a idiot now[emoji23][emoji23] one thing for sure is you can ALWAYS count on the folks here to steer you in the right direction!
Thanks Sergio and ScottyB for another bailout!

Irma SUCKS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Nice short cruise with the wife got lengthened to much longer than we expected. We were supposed to port in Port Canaveral but we ported in New Orleans and I took the midnight plane to Georgia. All is well and I'm back. SOOO Sorry for the lack of response. As soon as the hurricane warnings got more serious and more frequent, all of the bandwidth of the cruise ship internet was rendered useless.

Thanks, but we aren't all here yet. My wife and a few other relatives and friends are still on the ship. They won't dock until Wednesday at the earliest.
