Club Car 200a solenoid too loud
Hi everyone- I got an upgrade kit for my old Club Car from ScottyB a few months ago and I love it- but the solenoid is awfully loud.
It’s been this way since the beginning. It makes a harsh click whenever I start and stop. Has anyone ever tried “insulating” a solenoid? Thanks Luke Club Car DS Driver’s Club #59  |

If that was an HD solenoid that is normal. 400 amp is even a little louder.
Never tried to sound insulate one.... |

Yes. And it’s mounted straight to the Aluminum frame. I can see why it’s loud. I just didn’t know if anyone’s experimented with “quieting” them.

Maybe try some 1/8" gasket material behind it, but most of the sound is coming from the internal operation of it......

Interesting, I have never heard of a solenoid being too loud. Let us know what you come up with Luke...
