Default How do you guys feel about a battery life saver? And if so what model... does the mod

Upgrading my batteries and was curious

Keep water in them and keep them charged. Stay away from the snake oil

If you're talking about one of these I don't consider them to be "snake oil" at all. After I'm done initial charging with my PD3 I plug this guy in and it keeps my batteries up to full charge, and not just every two weeks.

In theory this is a very good thing for batteries. The 1 amp unit linked to above falls short of what is needed (in my opinion).
Aftermarket chargers with float mode put 2-3 amps into the pack to keep the batteries in an elevated state of charge. This elevated state prohibits sulfation which is the main killer of all lead acid batteries. Sulfation occurs anytime the pack is left to sit when the charge level is below 90%.

We carry 2 chargers with an automatic float charge mode after the main charge.
